Legendaries and Legendary Monuments

How legendary Pokemon work on TalonMC: monuments, mission chains and how to actually land the catch.

This is one of the biggest departures from base Cobblemon, so it is worth understanding before you go hunting.

Legendary Monuments

Legendary encounters appear at monument locations out in the world. They are contested, so finding one starts a race rather than guaranteeing a catch. Whoever lands the ball keeps the Pokemon.

Legendary missions

Multi-step mission chains that end in a legendary encounter. These reward consistent play rather than luck, and they are the more reliable route if you cannot camp monuments.

Landing the catch

1. Bring Timer Balls and Ultra Balls. Timer Balls scale up the longer the battle runs, which suits a long legendary fight.
2. Inflict status. Sleep and paralysis give the biggest multipliers. False Swipe brings the target to 1 HP safely.
3. Bring something that survives. Legendaries hit hard enough to sweep an under-levelled team before you throw a single ball.
4. Expect company. On monuments you are competing with whoever else got the notification.
