Getting started on TalonMC

Your first hour on TalonMC: starter, free rank, Poke Ball supply and the quests that get you moving.

This assumes you are already installed and connected. If not, follow the official install guide first.

1. Connect

Open Multiplayer, click Add Server, and enter play.talonmc.net.

2. Pick a starter

The starter screen opens on first join. Pick for early-game survivability rather than the coolest final evolution: your starter is a bridge, not your endgame team. See our starter guide for the reasoning.

3. Run /freerank

TalonMC grants a rank for free on your first join. Run /freerank straight away, there is no reason to skip it.

4. Get a ball supply going

Poke Balls are the real early bottleneck. Find apricorn trees, harvest a stack, and combine four apricorns of one colour with a copper ingot. Different colours and metals make the different ball types.

5. Take the quests

Quests and PokeHunts are the fastest early money and they double as a tutorial for the server's systems. Follow them until you have a team of four or five before attempting the first gym.
