How evolution works in Cobblemon
Most species evolve by reaching a level. The rest need something specific, and that is where people get stuck. The common triggers are an evolution stone you mine as ore, high friendship built by walking and levelling together, a held item, a Link Cable to simulate a trade, or a particular time of day.
Requirements on the family pages are checked against Cobblemon 1.7.3 species data. Family relationships come from PokeAPI. Unverified forms are marked rather than assigned a main-series requirement. Server datapacks and later versions can change these rules.
