This Pokémon always acts as though it were Asleep. It cannot be given another status ailment; it's unaffected by Yawn; it can use Sleep Talk; and so on.

In game description

The Pokémon is always drowsing and will never wake up. It can attack while in its sleeping state.

Using Comatose in Cobblemon

Abilities are passive and always active, so Comatose costs you nothing to run. If it is marked hidden on a species above, expect it to be harder to obtain: servers differ in whether hidden abilities come from breeding, an Ability Patch, or events.
